Description: Nagareda Project is a band produced by Satoshi Yaginuma of fripSide. The five band members are S Sosui (guitar/ band leader), Masahiro Kurikawa (drum), Ryuji Momoyama (bass), Jun Anazawa (guitar) and Yutaka Nagareda (vocal/ guitar). The band started out on NicoNico Douga, gained immense popularity and was later signed under Geneon Entertainment label.

The band had humble beginnings, analogous to most, if not all, people covering anime songs and posting such covers on the internet. It is not everyday that a cover band could get a big break as that experienced by Nagareda Project. They managed to break into the Japanese music market as a legitimate and professional recording band, you can only imagine how determined they can be to stay on that status.

But do they deserve all these? Definitely yes. Yutaka Nagareda's voice is strong and indeed masculine, giving songs originally sang by females a heavier and deep tonal twist. His high pitch is well-controlled and his boor-ish or dorky attitude gives his performances a hint of entertainment. Wearing those fancy masks was a great idea too, somehow gives you that analogy that they cover songs as they cover their faces. Those masks, perhaps, have also become an iconic symbol of the band. Their covers manage to live up to expectations and equal, if not exceed, the awesomeness there is in those famous anime songs. Recently, the band is starting to take part in anison concerts as ANIMAX MUSIX.
