Mawaru Penguin Drum

Mawaru Penguindrum was a fantastic show. I couldn't recommend it more, and it's one of the best I saw in 2011. Magic, mystery, love and tragedy- it's all there. I've seen several people say that "it isn't a show for everyone", but doesn't that apply to most anime? I think it would be a shame to go through life without seeing it.The story is very touching, and the Takakura family's close bonds with each other was something I really loved. I was rather surprised at the plot twists(I won't give anything away, but beware- Penguindrum isn't all sweetness and light), but I do like anime that's darker than it first appears to be. The story also gets much deeper, and although by the end some things are still left unexplained, I think that's part of the magic of the show.
