Are you familiar with Fate/stay Night? If you are please continue reading this paragraph, if not skip to the next. Upon reading the synopsis, you may find Sekirei's plot to be very similar. In fact, to sum it up in a nutshell, the major difference is that instead of 8 servants fighting each other, this time we have 108 seikirei instead. But rather than only having 1 servant to fight for the master, in the Sekirei world, the master can have as many seikirei as he/she can get. For those who are not familiar with Fate/stay Night, Sekirei is about a battle royal between 108 artificially made life forms (disguised as mostly female, though there are some male as well). These life forms, known as sekirei, are to find their Ashikabi (humans with special genes that allows them to partner with sekirei) and fight for them.
